April 2012

1. We celebrated two birthday's this month. Jeff's brother Ryan and my niece Nikkole.

2. Trey had his first tball game as well as opening day for baseball. It was pretty crazy. All the players from tball to major league. It was pretty cool to see all the kids that are involved in baseball in this town.

3. This year for Easter we went over to Jeff's parents house and had a wonderful dinner and the kids got to go on an Easter egg hunt in the back yard. However, the Easter bunny filled eggs with tickets and when the kids found a ticket they got to go pick a prize out of the bag. We also colored eggs as a family a few days prior. And the kids got to go on an Easter egg hunt at our house on Easter Morning. We also spent some time talking about the meaning of Easter. I made some resurrection eggs for the kids to open and we read the scriptures that went along with each item so the kids could understand why we celebrate Easter.

4. Jeff's Dad Steve writes Band music. For each of his grand kids he has written a song. He wrote a piece called Speed Trap for Tenley because she was born 2 weeks early and she came fast. Steve was teaching band at Dufur High School and they were playing this piece at their spring concert. So we took all the kids out to listen to the music and to hear Tenley's song played. Also Jeff had the opportunity to play in the band on Tenley's song.

Here is a link you can go to, to hear Tenley's Song

You can also find Trey's here

And Kestley's Here

5. We took the kids to Chuckie Cheese. They were so excited and had so much fun playing the games and winning tickets. A few days after we got back Kestley saw a commercial on tv for chuck e Cheese. And she came running into the kitchen and said what sounded like, I want to go to talk to Jesus and eat pizza. We were so confused but we just thought she wanted to pray before eating dinner. Later we found out that she was trying to tell us that she wanted to go to Chuck e cheeses and eat pizza.

6.We had parent teacher conferences for Trey's pre school. It was so fun to go in and meet with his teachers and see what he has been doing in school. It is also nice to hear how well behaved he is and that he is a pleasant to have in class. He has a love for school and especially loves getting to make friends and play with other kids.

7. My mom an dad celebrated their 45th anniversary. They are a great example to us and we are so blessed to get to see them and spend time with them almost everyday.

8. My in laws wanted a bigger deck on the back of their house so my dad and I added an addition to the side of it. Then I stained the whole thing. It was a big project but it turned out nice and it has already gotten alot of use.

9. Jeff's parents decided they wanted a playhouse for the kids to play in. So they bought this cute little house from costco. Yeah it wasn't so cute once we opened the box. I swear it had a thousand pieces  However, after a few hours of work and a few mishaps I got it all put together and the kids love it.

10. I was doing laundry one day so I laid Tenley on the floor. When I came out of the hall from folding the clothes. This is what I found. She must have been one tired baby.
