AUGUST

The addition is finally Done!!

1. This month we got our carpet after and 4 week wait. Which means we could have our final inspection and finally get moved in. It was nice to finally have the project "Done"!

2. This month we had 3 birthdays. My Dad, Jeff, and Matt.

3. We had my parents and Jeff's parents over for dinner for my dad's birthday. I made ribs, BBQ pork loin, pasta salad, pickled cucumbers and red onions, and corn. It was fun to have everyone over and to get to visit with both sets of parents.

4. We went to Long Beach, WA for a long weekend. Jeff's Mom's side of the family was having a family reunion. Again it was nice to get out of town and get to spend some time with family and go to the beach.

5. We had our 10 year wedding anniversary. We went out to dinner at the Baldwin Saloon. Then after stuffing ourselves, we went to Big Jim's for Dessert. Jeff decided to try the Banana Royal. Little did he know that it was going to be a whole plate full of ice cream, hot fudge, and bananas.

6. We had an ultra sound to get the baby measured. Everything looked great. We also found out that we were having a girl. Jeff and I were both excited and nervous. Jeff had never been out numbered in the boy/girl ratio, and I had never had the majority!

7. Our church had a Summer Palooza. Jeff's family put on the music and entertainment for the evening. We even get Trey up there to sing Dynamite and Kestley got up and danced. It was fun to have the kids involved in the activity.

8. We had some friends move back into town recently and they called to see if we could watch their two girls for an hour. They were so cute. One girl is a year older than Trey and the other is the same age as Trey. They were all too nervous to play with each other. So Trey stayed on one side of the couch and the girls on the other. Once in while they would pop their heads around and say something. It was time for the girls to go home and that is when they decided they wanted to play together. They were all in Treys room giggling and laughing and playing. We are so glad to finally have some friends that moved back into town.

9. This year for Jeff's and Matt's Birthday we had two separate parties. On Sat. I took Jeff to Portland for the day. We went and wandered around and we took him out to lunch. That night Matt was turning 21 so his parents had a big party for him. Then on Sunday Jeff had a relaxing day. Then we went over to his parents house that evening for his birthday dinner.

10. Kestley is in the stage of doing everything by herself. So any time she wants to do something she goes running off saying I do, I do, I do. It is so fun to hear her voice and watch her learn how to form sentences.

11. I came home one evening and I asked Trey why he had new underwear on. I asked him if he pooped in his pants and he said no, I just had a little lightning strike. (Jeff tells him that he has racing stripes when he has a small accident, and for some reason he confused it with a lighting strike!)
