APRIL

This month is a very crazy month. We had a lot going on and things just kept moving faster and faster.

1. My 1st college roommate and friend from high school had a bridal shower. It was so much fun to see alot of my friends from high school and college and to get caught up on everything that is going on in their lives.

2. Jeff's Uncle Bud passed away a few months ago they had a memorial service for him at my in laws house. It was good to see everyone and to hear all the stories and experiences that everyone had shared over the years.

3. Jeff went to Salem for a Training for the week. It makes the days really long when he is gone. He does such a great job playing with the kids when he gets home. Pretty much every night he takes the kids when he gets home so that I can have sometime to do what ever I need to do, whether it is have a break or clean or cook. He is such a great dad.

4. Our Nephew Gavin fell and broke his femur. Which was his second femur break in 6 months and it wasn't even the same leg as before. So this was a very stressful time for our extended family. So we had the opportunity to have Jaynee come over and spend a few days playing at out house. Trey had so much fun entertaining her and making her laugh or dance.

5. We went to the cherry festival parade which is a fun and exciting parade that they have in town every year. It is never too overly exciting but the kids love it . We had to take a picture of the belly dancers for our friends that moved. We didn't want them to miss the best part of the parade!

5. We had two birthday's this month. Ryan and my niece Nikkole. I can't believe she is 20. It makes me feel way too old!

6. We got news from the bank that our house didn't appraise for the amount that we needed to get the loan. So we were upset and disappointed but I called around to a few other banks and we ended up being able to decrease the interest rate on my car loan and get another loan from them with great rates that we were able to move forward with our house addition. Thank you Rivermark Credit Union!!

7. My mom got a phone call from a lady in our church who runs an apartment complex and she wanted her to paint a bathroom for her. My mom couldn't do it so I jumped at the opportunity. We could always use the extra money and I use to paint during the summers while I was at college. They ended up liking my work and want me to paint some more for them so I am excited for the extra money that I will get to earn.

8. To start our addition we had a few things to do before we could actually start digging the foundation. My dad and I spent about 3 days breaking out the concrete pad and stairs that were out back. We also had to move our shed to the side of the house, and we had to get concrete down so we could move our air condition to the side of our house. Needless to stay my dad continues to amaze me everyday with his knowledge and work ethic.

9. For our young mens and young womens activity (Jeff and I both help with the youth in our church) We went down to the Riverfront trail and we went GPSing. It was fun. I had never done it before. We need to take Trey sometime he would have fun on a real life treasure hunt!!

10. My dad and I went down to Portland to buy siding for our house. We went down to Tigard only to find out that they only have very little in stock. Even after calling them to confirm it. I wasn't sold on the selections that they had so the guy gave us the name of a few other places. After 3 phone calls we finally found one clear back up by Troutdale that would deal with a person that wasn't a contractor. They had a huge selection and were very helpful. We ended up getting siding for the entire house for what we would have paid at the other place just for the addition. Wholesale is a great thing!

11. I had a parent approach me and ask me if I was interested in being a basketball shooting coach for 4 varsity girls. I was so excited to get to coach basketball and to work with the varsity girls rather then the middle school B teams. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed that too, but I have always wanted to get back into high school basketball so I was excited for the opportunity.

12. We found a contractor that would do the foundation for our addition for a reasonable price. My dad could have done it but this guy had the whole thing dug out framed poured and cleaned up in 1 week. We figured it would have taken my dad at least a few weeks just because their is so much that goes into the foundation.

13. I made my first baby blanket. It had a few mistakes but I was pretty excited with it. And I also made a cute name sign for a friend's baby's room.

14. Jeff and I took my parents to a MLS Timbers game. It was a gift to my dad for his birthday last year and also a thank you for all the work they were going to be doing on our addition. We met my two brother in laws and my father in law down there and we sat right above the Timbers army. It was very entertaining and fun to be apart of. It was a great game and Jeff and I are excited to get to go again in July.

15. Easter! This year for Easter we dyed eggs and let both kids get into it. Kestley had fun until her fingers got dyed then she wasn't so sure about it. Trey wanted to dye every egg in sight. We then had an egg hunt for the kids after church at our house. They were both pretty cute and had to stop and open every egg to see what they got before they could move on. Trey kept finding the ones with the jelly beans and he opened another one and said, " Jelly beans again, Not my Favorite!" Kestley got a big Sully doll that Jeff bought for me when we were dating. I was glad we kept it since Kestley is obsessed with the show Monsters Inc.  Trey got even more Monster Trucks! I told you it would change our lives for ever! Then that evening we went over to Jeff's parents house and had a great Dinner.
