March

Again I have found myself falling behind. I have a good reason but I will mention that when it comes the time. (Remember I am a few months behind so in blog world it hasn't taken place yet!)

1. Trey finished his soccer camp. He had so much fun running and playing. I wish he could play AYSO here but they play on Sunday and we don't play sports on Sunday. So we are trying to decide if we want to drive him to Hood River so he can play. That decision has yet to be determined.

2. Both kids ended up sick as well as Jeff with really bad Colds. I had it earlier and was glad I didn't catch it again. I hate having sick kids. For the most part their isn't much you can do for them except try to keep them comfortable. And lucky for me I have a husband that is great to help out especially at night.

                       Before

         After but still not done!

3. We started a major project in our back yard. Well I guess it is just the beginning of a major project in our back yard. We built a cement brick wall at the bottom of the hill in our back yard to try to level the back yard out a little bit so that we can add an addition on to our house. It was a lot of hard work but thanks to the help of my dad and his friend Ralph we got it done in a few days.

4. We filled out paper work with the bank so that we could refinance our house and get a little extra money so that we could build a two room addition on the back of the house. It is amazing how much paperwork you have to fill out but after weeks of running around we finally got everything turned in and we were just waiting on the bank.

5. We finally got Jeff's Truck paid off. It is so nice to not have that added to our monthly bills every month. In fact we got alot of our little bills paid off. It feels so nice to not have so much debt anymore. However I am still working on one of my school loans, which I feel will be there for ever.

6. This month was a busy month for birthdays. We had My brother in law Jared's, his daughter Jaynee, and my father in law Steve.

7. Jeff had another Furlough Friday this month which worked out great because we got to take the kids to the Children's Museum. And it was a Friday so it wasn't nearly as busy as the last time we went. They also had a new Curious George room set up. Trey loved playing and experimenting with all the activities they had. Kestley was just so excited to be free that she just ran from one thing to the next keeping us busy trying to keep up with her.

8. We took the opportunity this month to have the missionaries from our church over for dinner this month. The kids were so excited and so cute. Now every time we go to church Trey runs up to the missionaries and gives them a big smile and a high five.

9. Trey's cousin Gavin came over to play one day and he turned to me in a scratchy voice and said oh know I have a frog in my throat. Trey got overly concerned and ran and got a flash light and had  Gavin open his mouth big and wide so Trey could find the frog and get it out. He was concerned for a while until I explained to him that it was just something people said.

10. The kids have discovered the Mr. Potato head toys lately and have spent alot of time playing with them. I was in the kitchen when I heard Trey crying I came running out and asked what was wrong. He said mommy I can't get Mr. potato heads butt on and all his stuff keeps falling out. I laughed for a while. However, we rescued the butt and got everything adjusted and fixed!

11. The movie Tangled came out and you would think that my children would be obsessed with it. Well one of them was and it wasn't Kestley! Trey loves the movie. In fact I think we have watched it nearly everyday since it came out. When it was first in the movie theater Teddie and Steve took Gavin and Trey to see it and I think that made him even more excited  about it.

12. For Jaynee's Birthday Jeff's mom buys all the kids a little gift. Kestley got a TuTu with pants attached since she loves clothes. However, these pants she wanted nothing to do with. If we put them in her clothes drawer she would throw them out to get to the clothes she wanted. If we put them on her she would take them off two seconds later. It was pretty entertaining. However, after about 3 weeks I finally convinced her to wear them, yes I know I swore I would never let my daughter wear anything like that but I have to admit she was cute and she knew it.

13. Trey discovered another new love this month. We get free preview channels every month so this month we had the SPEED channel. which has Monster Trucks on it. So I decided to record it because it looked like something Trey would enjoy. Little did I know that it would be his new obsession and change our lives forever!

14. My mom found a pattern to make some cute hats for the kids. I think the pattern was for girls but if Kestley gets something then Trey needs something too.(His didn't have ruffles on it!) So she tweaked it and made hats for both kids. I wish I could sew half as good as my mom. She is pretty amazing with what she can create!
