August

The month of August was a crazy month. Ok well maybe just the first week. But it was alot of fun and I would do it again any day. This post will be an overview of August but look for a few additional posts based around our Sea world/Disneyland/ California Adventure trip.

1. We drove 18 hours to LA, stayed the night, drove about 2 hours to San Deigo for the day, drove back to Anaheim that night, stayed for 4 days and went to Disneyland and California adventure with a trip to LA to go to a Dodgers game , then drove 18 hours back home in one day!

2. My dad had a birthday, but in his defense we won't disclose his age. All I will say is he looks younger than he is!!

3. My brother Kevin and his family came up to visit. Trey loves to play with their kids. And it is always fun to see them.

4. Jeff and I Celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary. I can't believe I have been married that long. I am not sure where they time has gone, but I have enjoyed every moment of it.

5. Jeff's Mom's side of the family had a family reunion in The Dalles this year, which made it easy for us to go. It was a blast. There was lots of good food and some great music. His whole family is very musical and it makes the get togethers alot of fun.
6. Jeff (and his brother Matt) celebrated their birthday on the 27th. I had soccer practice so I didn't get to go to dinner with them but they went to The Solstice Wood Fire Cafe which is a small cafe in Bingen. They have live music and a little play room for the kids. Then they headed over to Jeff's parents house for cake and ice cream, where I finally got to join them!

7. Soccer practice officially started in August, which means my nights are officially busy until the end of Oct.
8. I also had the great opportunity to start a cold the end of the month. The bad news is that it will end up lasting 4 weeks. I went to the dr. and they gave me some medicine which didn't help and I ended up cracking a couple ribs from coughing so much. Did I mention I hate being sick!
