Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

So this year was a little different for us. This was the first year since we have been married ( so that would be 8 years! Crazy huh!) that we did Christmas at our own house. However, we still had alot of family around. We spend Christmas eve at Jeff's parents house, Christmas day my parents came over in the morning to watch the kids open their gifts, and then Christmas day night we went to Jeff's parents and had a nice dinner and played games with Jeff's sister and her family and Jeff's parents. Trey got two of the Geotrax trains that he has been asking for for a month now. So that was nice to not have to hear about how he needed those anymore. He also got a new bike, some cars and some bored games. Kestley got a little people house that she loves and plays with for over an hour a day and a gumball machine thing for babies, which she also loves. She actually got pretty excited about trying to open her gifts. However, Trey didn't have much patience for her to take her time so he helped her rip into most of them. Trey was so much fun this year because he actually got into the whole Christmas thing and is starting to understand what is going on.

Kestley just turned seven months old, which is crazy. These seven months have gone by way too fast. She has started saying "Da Da" and she thinks she is the funniest thing around. She is trying to figure out the whole crawling thing but so far she only goes backwards. She doesn't have to work too hard because Trey always feels bad for her and moves all her toys towards her so she doesn't have to work to get them. She is a very happy kid except for the past few weeks because she has been fighting a never ending cold and is working on some teeth.

We also had a great snow storm here the past few days. I love it and so does Trey. We ended up with about 10 inches or so in the past few days. (So I guess that is just a skiff for all you Wyoming and Utah people but that is a pretty good amount for Oregon) The problem I ran into today was trying to explain to a 3 year old that the snow isn't the right kind to make a snowman in, I still don't think he understands, but we had fun playing in it today.
Finally, this year for new years eve we aren't doing anything too exciting. We are just hanging out at home, watching football, eating snacks, playing some games and watching a few movies. Once you start having kids it is hard to do to much for New years.

Well, we hope this finds you all well and that you have had a great year. We also would like to wish you a safe and happy new year!
